See, youre wrong too many times in this paragraph.
1. The S2 with regards to opening apps and switching between them was much better. The S2 was the last Galaxy not to have every feature in the book thrown at it. It was a superbly fast and SMOOTH phone. (The Exynos version) The S2 performs everyday tasks better than the S3 as well. (QUALCOMM version)
2. The HTC has a SD card slot and comes with 32GB onboard vs the paltry 16 of the S5
3. The battery life of this One is better than the S5. This is signified by the times where the S5 was often hot to the touch, yet this has not happened on the One. Also, I usually have to charge the S5 twice a day depending on how much ive used it. The One? Not so much
4. The S5 had HORRID touch scroll performance. I was extra sensitive to this due to the fact that I came from the 5S, which has the best touchscreen latency of all smartphones (or among the best). This is one of the main things that turned me off the phone. Why the hell is the phone quad core and still lagging sometimes when I scroll? Also, when I say lag, I mean the response time between swiping and the scroll action taking place.
5. The screen is relative. That shyt is too big to me. It does have awesome colors though

.....no lol. you sure you are talking about the default web browser? The s5 web browser scrolls smoothly...i was actually shocked by it myself because i usually rock with boat browser off top on any android phone. I feel like im in the twilight zone when it comes this specific thing...you talking about horrid scrolling...thats just a horrible lie lol. I agree about the 5s though...too bad its ass when it comes to the screen size and features lol

Battery life...eh...cant say i know how good the htc is long term..ive only messed with it for a day just playing around with it...but my s5 gets me 4 1/2 hours of on screen time on default battery and i get through the day on normal/heavy use....thats a great battery and ive had THE best battery coming from the note 3 to the worst battery when i had the galaxy nexus...trust me i know a good battery.

As far as screen..that is not relative...s5 flat out has the better screen...you are trying to sugar coat that one for some reason....its not even debateable.

I may be wrong about sd card slot....but u can have up to 128gigs on the s5...not sure if u can with the htc one...if so...my bad.

The S2....is not...was not...faster. I have it in my drawer somewhere if i get some time i can upload and show you myself.

It scrolls smoothly yes I agree. The time to initiate that scroll is bad sometimes tho. Maybe I didn't word that correctly: The S5 touch latency is baddd sometimes..
Which S2 do you have? If it has the exynos then yeah...if not then nah. And ill agree the s5 screen is better, but I don't really miss it. Too fukkin wide

i agree with el on that s2 talk. i still say that was the last great galaxy S phone, the only reason i got rid of mine when i did was cuz i threw it at a wall arguing with my girl over the phone.

i heard the m8's battery life was :scusthov:, that was from a verizon rep tho :manny:

shyts not even close
the fact that I can open the back of my S5 and take out the battery without having to break into the case is the reason I have an S5. That alone is worth more to me than the M8.

That shyt isn't that important to me anymore seeing as how I haven't bought an extra battery for a phone in years. Rather bring a portable USB charger if I really need it. To each his own

I hear cats say this all the time...but I never see anyone who actually has an extra battery on them.

highly disagree with this....ive had the s2/s3/note4/ and the S5 right now....the s5 performs MUCH better than the g3 let alone the gs2...yall dudes be killing me when i read things like this....it just shows people either dont remember how well phones performed when they had it....or just straight up lie to support their purchase lol smh.

Htc one is definately fast when it comes to opening up apps...ill give it that. Its a little more snappier when it comes to that specific thing in comparison to my s5...overrall though..they are BOTH fast imo. Where the htc one gets smashed though is CAMERA.....SCREEN...and sd card slot storage and battery....both perform smooth and get the job done in many areas.

Also a small thing i noticed...the default web browser on the s5 has better touch to scroll performance.

Wont lie though...before i even tried the s5 i was all in about to cop a htc until i realized the camera wasnt where i needed it to be.

You can put an sd card in here...

Been wanting that M8, love the build/aluminum body - but the consistent negative camera reviews kinda scared me off a bit. Decided to hold out to see how that LG G3 ends up.

The camera isn't as bad as you'd think especially if you are just trying to take good pictures for internet use...that htc Zoe is clean as hell and under rated....honestly for what is is I actually use the camera for it does what it should do.

played with the g3 today...shyts pretty nice. Its slightly harder for me to use with 1 hand like the gs5 but its possible if you have regular to bigger hands. The screen is definately sharp as shyt lol....not as bright as my gs5 i could POSSIBLY see a problem in heavy sunlight outside but i only played with it in the store. The phone really looks nice...the back brushed aluminum look looks nice and it really does feel good in the hand. Everything was snappy...has some real nice animation customizations with the unlock screen. The camera takes real nice pics but i dont know if it was the sensor thing behind the phone or what but the laser focus seemed like it focused quickly like 3 or 4 times before it stopped focusing on what i was trying to take a picture of. I'm gonna hold judgement on that and blame it on the store sensor on the back because i never heard of this problem in reviews. All in all....the phone was nice....wasnt a big jump from my gs5 though..not enough to pay to get it. If i didnt get my gs5 already id consider copping tho.

It's not just about an extra battery. A year in that battery won't hold a charge as well as it did day one. I just toss it and put in a new one on my own without having to break open a unibody design that wasn't intended to be opened.

Any battery worth the money will last well past a year. Wayyy past a year actually...
