:russ::mjlol:Obama needs to get his own talk show a few years after the presidency. The guy is charismatic as fuc.
I don't know how Michelle did it. She hit the jackpot :banderas:

:whoa:no homo.

I'm REALLY interested in damn near anything Barack does when he leaves office. He's going to damn near be the same age Bill was when he leaves office.

Also the next group of kids after him are black and from Chicago. Robotics team. They have a pretty normal interaction with Obama.

Man I got a lil cousin who is a junior in high school and can't make the varsity basketball team. Peep this though, he had to lie about his age to play on a rec team with the younger kids. I called him the other day and he said he didn't make the starting 5 on the lil kid rec team. He then goes on to say he is going to keep practicing because when he gradates HS, he is gonna play basketball internationally. No mention of college, he STILL thinks he can play pro ball. :snoop:

nikka you owe it to him to shoot down his dream and awaken him to his other academic talents; sciences, math, english, whatever it is, even art 'cause Basquiat wasn't eating too bad. Fam can't let fam keep deluding themselves. That ain't right breh. We gotta teach the kids that there's shyt other than rap and ball, through hypnosis if must be.

I don't see it like that. His point was simply that you have to face the reality that mos people don't make it to professional sports level, and have a backup plan. Parents been telling their kids that for decades, I don't see anything wrong with Obama saying it. Go to school, play ball, but don't put all your eggs in one basket...
Yeah, it's standard advice. I don't have a PROBLEM with Obama saying it, I just find it ironic that somebody who reached the pinnacle of anything would tell somebody else to set their standards lower.

It's a lot more likely that this same kid would make the NBA as opposed to becoming the President of the United States. And didn't the kid simply say he wanted to play college ball anyway (I may be wrong on that)? That's not even that lofty of a goal.

because at the end of the day, when the average baller retires at 30, they have nothing people respect...their MINDS. Outside of Magic Johnson, Jordan, and a handful of otherswho are these prominent ex-basketball players who have been esteemed members of society?

theres plenty.
