There are several far more pressing issues impacting education than this teacher's twitter but discussing education in TLR and especially in this type of topic is probably pointless
That excuse he gave is exactly why teachers have zero accountability. Its always someone else's fault as to why you can have an entire grade, if not school failing. That, and the fact that they dont even fail kids anymore. Just like 1st grade and 6th grade in most places. You can literally teach a kid nothing for 11 out of the 13yrs of schooling and they pass them. Theres no incentive to be a good teacher.

What you're saying is true, but I'm speaking from the perspective of a parent of a student in her class. If you're in that situation, she is the most pressing issue. Im aware of that. The point I was making was money is not the issue because a place that has some of the highest paid teachers in the country, is one of the worst school systems in the country. Thinking that these people will be better because they make more money is a fallacy.
