This is a byproduct of Kendrick mollywopping Drake?

There’s a shift happening right now where hip hop is getting back to that competitive spirt again. I think Kendrick showing that great music especially in hip hop can still take you further and keeping it safe and doing what everyone else is. Once the younger generation starts getting fully on board we should see quality come back again.

That explosion of women rappers felt like a tech bubble. That shyt burst and most of those chicks can't sell an album or tour. What's left? Nothing, because labels were solely focused on finding the next hyper sexual hoe rapper. Ask yourself...who is the next big ATL rapper? Who is following up Baby and Gunna? Take ATL out the picture now...who is the big young-ish rapper now? Yeat? BigXthaPlug? Perhaps. It's not Ken Carson, no matter what the label tries lol. Long story short this isn't about Kdot or Drake, it's about labels not giving a shyt and a decline in artistry.

Also? Lot of kids found a more interesting get rich quick scheme: streaming. Being a rapper is officially too hard lol.

I haven't been a huge fan of hip hop since 1994... thanks god we have Kendrick that dropped 6 masterpieces in a row (probably a first time in hip hop) but at this point I stopped putting him in a box, only considering him a rapper was an insult, he's a music god.
