who says music has to be realer than a movie? some rappers are documentaries and others are summer blockbusters. music has unreal standards of entertainment and is taken entirely too seriously.
if actors had to be real we wouldn't have Alonzo Harris in training day or star wars because people feel the need to "keep it real" . some dudes made a career of playing in gangsta movies.
Drake is less talented then some...but rapping is a skill much like singing. It's not lyrics keeping people out of the game....it's that people can't rap.
granted, i've only had drake singles in rotations because he doesn't get extremely busy on the mic. he only does jay-z slick lines....but he can't go in like jay-z imo.
