It's an interview from a couple of months ago when he was promoting his new album. But he talks about his career from the beginning all the way up to now:

The couple of joints he performed from that new album sound nice. It sounds like an album that I've been overlooking and need to check out. Anybody here heard the album? :dwillhuh:

They see me trolling, they hating.....
In 2012, Masta Ace is set to release "MA DOOM: Son Of Yvonne", produced entirely by MF DOOM, as well as a 10th anniversary release of Disposable Arts, featuring new recordings of songs from the album with a live band[11] The same site interviewed Masta Ace and he explained that Son of Yvonne helps him put across the things he didn't get to say to his mother before she died. [12]

had no clue he was dropping an album .......is it out already?

Yeah, the album is already out. I just checked allmusic.com and it says the album came out back in July of this year.

Thats cray, I thought MF DOOM was loved by nerds on this site

a product of his came and went with virtually no fanfare?

coupled with the fact that no rapper went plat in 2012

I guess rap really is dead

I liked his new album, but some didn't because it uses old MF Doom instrumentals. I'm not that familiar with Doom so I loved it. It's kind of done as an autobiography.

Yeah, I've never really listen to Doom's music enough to know what what's so those beats I heard Ace rhyming over in the interview sounded good to me.
