found this interesting take on the drake vs kendrick situation - do you agree that this is the biggest battle ever? and if so, are the songs among the biggest disstracks ever as well?

The speed at which it's happening is unprecedented.

Me and the homie wanted to catch up on the whole thing and including Ross and Cole there's, what? half a dozen tracks already?

We were in the car and the newest one from Kendrick was on. Homie didn't realize it was part of the dis series. I was up on thangs cause I be on here all the time.

At this point, the only series of dis records they have to surpass is Roxanne.

And that's impossible. Roxanne's Grandma did the beat box for Black Christ's sake.

After Family Matters and Meet the Grahams, this is definitely bigger than that beef.

They talking about Kendrick loading up again too.

ether is in its own category I think. That song was just once in a generation type shyt. It’ll take significant time to judge of any of these new songs will still sting like Ether.

But the beef itself, this is way beyond that. This is up there with No Vaseline levels of disrespect and getting worse apparently

Pac vs BIG is still the biggest battle ever just because of the obvious fallout. But it’s hard to consider it an official battle since Biggie never claimed a Pac diss.

For crossing over into other realms of pop culture? Yes.

We will need to wait to see if it’s as legendary though.

No :flabbynsick: better come in here acting like it can’t ever be topped.

I agree. There have been uglier things said on wax. “Hit ‘em’ up” and “Superugly” were pretty grimy songs by mainstream artists, that landed on the radio.

Even they were tame compared to some of the things said by relatively underground artists when Chicago drill music was out there like that. It’s hard to even call that underground because kids all over the world were watching and listening, especially white kids.

This might be the biggest and ugliest considering scale and star power.

I remember in high school, class being divided between Jay and Nas, Roc vs Lox.

It hasn't reached that level yet.

Used to be happy af to come to school and find whoever had the new Jada or Beans drop in the CD player lol.
