Immigrants/Foreigners "strongly" identifying with Blackness is a new thing. Honestly, I wish they would stick to "I'm not Black, I'm (insert random African nationality or tribe)". We all know Black/Negro has been the primary identifier for the descedants of trans-atlantic slavery and has been defined in modern day by Black American Experience. In Africa most countries are homogeneously "Black", so they don't have to identify with it.
