Most aren't in any meaningful way, but I would urge him or her to develop class consciousness and understand the roots and purposes of racism in a capitalist society. All "white people" are not the enemy.

That is an element of racism, but when you study the historical development of racism, it is clear that power is a central element. The ability to force a stratified state of affairs upon people based on their "race," which in and of itself is a social construct.

Both the concept of race and racism developed alongside capitalism, to enable its development. It is further maintained to divide the working-class, so that the ruling class can continue exploiting everyone and extracting resources from communities and nations.

i don't agree with her point. She lists terrible, racist acts, and ignorant acts of the past that were wrong then in their actions as her basis of being hypocritical of rioting in Ferguson? People are saying it's wrong and she counters by listing acts that were wrong then as well.

That's what those europeans, specifically the English do. They say one thing, do another thing, and apologize for another. Its one of the reasons why the English language has so many words. Its just many different ways to bullshyt you. So when you go around talking about civil rights hero, he was neither a hero or cared about the civil rights until it became politically palatable.
