This is why anybody with common sense should be supporting our brothers and sisters with the fight for $15.

I've had this debate with people on facebook. Some people really are like personally invested in making sure there's someone "below" them. And these are people that claim to be super liberal, but you bring up $15 minimum wage and they start foaming at the mouth.

I guess it makes them feel better about themselves knowing someone is being paid a few dollars less than them. These corporations got people making 20 dollars an hour hating on folks trying to make 15.. Not realizing they are both broke and getting played and in the same hole.

Even $15 an hour is small money if you live where I live (north jersey). Not having a car makes it worse. You still waste time with the commute and after you pay bills it's like you worked for nothing.

Honestly, ALL of those companies with the exception of Goldman, Microsoft, and Apple are tech companies with high stock value and a small payroll force.

Goldman Sachs don't created products.

Microsoft has an aging employee base that's either retiring or getting booted for younger cheaper talent.


But to your point, the intern pay you say you make is the exception, not the rule.
