Anyway, I've learned you have to take peoples "preferences" with a grain of salt. My home girl had a preference for tall guys and wouldn't date a male shorter than her, until she met a guy at school who is legit one of the funniest people I've ever met, could cook, and was graduating with a petroleum engineering degree. Didn't matter that he was shorter than her and had a receding hairline. All of those "standards" went out of the window - always will for the right one.

I guess it's the opposites attract thing. True enough, we are all more attracted to certain characteristics, but if anyone rejects you because of the color of your skin, they just didn't like you. I personally have had more relationships with lighter women, so I understand I subconsciously gravitate towards those types, but I've never in my life contemplated giving an attractive female the because she had a dark complexion. In fact, one of coolest chicks I've fooled around and kicked it with was dark skin, but ol' girl could cook, handle her business in the bedroom, and pick you up when you're going through some shyt. If she wasn't bat shyt crazy, I would have locked her down. If you look good, you look good.
