This is becuz hip hop has grown up in a way. The fans have gotten older. There's a whole generation of us in our 30s and 40s who grew up on it and it's all we know. Kinda like how video games isn't just a toy for kids anymore
It's crazy thinking that the biggest rappers these days are either pushing 30 or already passed that mark. Rappers used to be considered old if they were past 25. New rappers used to always be in their teens and early 20s but we're seeing new rappers much older than that
I think its beautiful because the way it was looking for 40 plus rappers in the 2000's it seemed as if there was no hope....But there is hope.
Cant just let Keith Richards go into his 80s looking half dead and still being worshipped as a Rock God while these legendary rappers get pushed into irrelevance by their 40's.
