Thats top secret information
This is becuz hip hop has grown up in a way. The fans have gotten older. There's a whole generation of us in our 30s and 40s who grew up on it and it's all we know. Kinda like how video games isn't just a toy for kids anymore

It's crazy thinking that the biggest rappers these days are either pushing 30 or already passed that mark. Rappers used to be considered old if they were past 25. New rappers used to always be in their teens and early 20s but we're seeing new rappers much older than that

I think its beautiful because the way it was looking for 40 plus rappers in the 2000's it seemed as if there was no hope....But there is hope.

Cant just let Keith Richards go into his 80s looking half dead and still being worshipped as a Rock God while these legendary rappers get pushed into irrelevance by their 40's.

bytch ass nikka bout to hang himself from the rusty ceiling fan in his crackwhore mom's section 8 apt by his menstrual stained period panties cuz the GOAT our Flow Lord and Lyrical Savior Hova Da Gawd's post prime career (KC-present) is infinitely superior to the combined careers of Zzz Cole aka Mos Not Def, Koondrick Sambomar aka K Thot, Future Fagdross aka Marvin GayTL, Drizzy Vanilli aka Kike & The Ghostwriting Gang, & every other pathetic excuse for a rapper to emerge in the 2010's

Rappers Delight came out less than 40 years ago, so rappers are basically still learning to age gracefully in hip hop.

If not they end up dressing, acting and looking like Kay Slay.

Something to think about....

Is it proof the 90's era emcees were the greatest like many of us expected:jbhmm:?is it proof of the wackness of the new era that these old nikkas ain't a afterthought as they should be:jbhmm:?

Is it both:sas2:?

I just wanted to up this because the OP thought Eric Sermon and EPMD was some how two completely different things.......

Speaking of EPMD this song was popular then...

I think this is because certain people have a bigger appreciation for what the lyricists of old were/are, as most of todays rappers sing.
