None of which has ever benefited Black people. Using the "White people did it too" angle doesn't change that fact :yeshrug:

In American politics, the Southern strategy was a Republican Party electoral strategy to increase political support among white voters in the South by appealing to racism against African Americans.[1][2][3] As the civil rights movement and dismantling of Jim Crow laws in the 1950s and 1960s visibly deepened existing racial tensions in much of the Southern United States, Republican politicians such as presidential candidate Richard Nixon and Senator Barry Goldwater developed strategies that successfully contributed to the political realignment of many white, conservative voters in the South who had traditionally supported the Democratic Party rather than the Republican Party. It also helped to push the Republican Party much more to the right.[4]

Voted for Scott in the primaries and general election. He's made a name for himself on the City Council the past few years, there a lot of hope riding on him across the city.

My bad I misread you.

Anyways I wouldn't be surprised to see people today refer to the civil rights movement as "identity politics".

It always amazes how quickly we cling to white supremacist rhetoric. Theres nothing pro-black about this statement at all.

Its amazing how we think political/social movements that benefited white people will also benefit us. White people have tricked us that their struggles = Our struggles

Its either you have Economic segregation from this society to form our own identity, or you will continue to be 2nd class citizens. This is why Politicians never SPECIFICALLY mention Black people, because they don't have to. We are the 2nd class invisible group they can give two fukks about

And you are correct. The Civil Rights movement was "Identity Politics", and how has it benefited us? Outside of Integrating us further into White society

Promoting our struggle to white people will always be a bad move. Its a sign of weakness, and shows we can't elevate ourselves BY OURSELVES. Also furthers the superiority complex that white people have as regards to racism. That is our problem, always alerting the masses of our next move

Other races don't give a fukk about our struggle, and they never will

Niqqa who tweeted this doesn't no shyt about dudes stances and/or ideas but sees someone who looks like him and automatically likes him.

And thats how Kamala Harris became VP.:mjlol: "I dont care about the results, he's black, that's good enough for me."

Messed up thing is, he's a decent mayor. No different from the last 50 we've had. Problem is, the Mayor can't do shyt to help this city.

Until we have drug legalization in this state, jobs and a reworked welfare system this city is fukked.
And gut that abominable please force.
