The fukked up thing is that this type of thought process for journalists is largely the reason Kareem Abdul Jabbar isn't as appreciated as he should be.

I finished the article. The idea that you have to open up to the media to be appreciated is patently absurd. The sense of entitlement some of these "journalists" have is astounding. They think that the players owe them something, outside of basketball. The nerve of this dude writing an article like this.

For the longest the media was essentially the only conduit between players and fans, so there's some level of truth to that. The sense of entitlement these media dudes get from that is disgusting.

That's why I like Twitter and other social media. When used properly, it allows athletes to completely bypass these clowns.

99% of people that go into sports journalism are pathetic. not good enough to play so they have no choice but to write about it instead.
