So what? Just because your ass worked in a homeless shelter that does not mean that you know that all homeless people eat well, because a lot of homeless people don't even go to shelters. So speak for what you know, but I know for a fact that those refugees are eating better then a lot of homeless people right here in the USA.

Seriously we have people in this country that are working poor that are homeless and they live with their children in their cars and in abandoned buildings and in all kinds of spots that people are completely unaware of. They don't eat as well as these refugees do so you are full of shyt when you say that, because a lot of the working poor don't even know where their next meal is coming from. That refugee knows that he is going to get another meal in a few hours even if he doesn't think much of it. You might not know this, but one of the reasons that they wanted kids to have in person learning in schools is because the meals that some kids get in school are the only meals that they may get during the course of a whole day. There are kids that go to sleep hungry in this country every night. That refugee has food in his gut.

As someone who has volunteered at a homeless shelter before its clear you have no idea what you are talking about. As others have told you our homeless eat pretty good. And you will pretty much never see children on the street due to all the programs and resources this country has. There are a lot of resources for women as well.

And all of the working poor qualify for food stamps. Even homeless people can qualify for food stamps. There are a lot of things poor people in this country got to worry about but food ain't one of them. We are a privileged country in that regard.

130% above poverty is over 20k annually. Those folks in that range also qualify for housing assistance. Rent is the biggest expense for most people .
They are not starving. People with young children have programs like WIC on top of food stamps. No babies are starving here. There are also free food banks in every city. They don't turn people away. Nobody is starving in this country unless they want to starve or have too much pride to use resources available to them like food banks. People die of many things here but hunger aint one of them.

I mentioned the food banks being run by charities and governmental units in my earlier post that cater to the working homeless poor, but you claimed I did not know what I was saying. Unfortunately for you I do and the fpl is a sliding scale depending upon your family size. So a family has to still pay for housing, utilities, clothing and everything else on that money for their children. It is not as cut and dried as you and that other dude are making it, because housing costs are outrageous in many cities which is why there is a homeless working poor and a push for a living wage.

My point to that other dude is that those refugees at least know that they have another meal coming. Some working homeless poor people don't.
