biggest reason Xbox won the last gen is because it was cheaper while providing the same experience as the Playstation (thats why I chose 360 over PS3)

now PS4 is $100 cheaper and provides a SUPERIOR experience

I look at how people put up petitions all the time with 10's of thousands of signatures when the actual install base is in the millions. While I do think ms alienated lots of gamers, they have pulled people dragging and screaming each gen with something the vocal minority didn't like and in the end, they lined their pockets with money. That's why I dont even pay attention to most of the outrage for now. Some people do have legitimate complaints but I'm sure when the smoke clears this gen will be much like the last one only with better games on both sides.

i been saying this all along. gamers always break ranks. the only thing i've seen gamers successfully unify on is the ending to Mass Effect 3 and even then the changes were minimal.

people, including myself, will buy this console anyway. just like they bytch and complain about everything else but buy it anyway.

Even then, the outrage really didn't make sense because the people complaining aboit the ending had to already have the game therefore already put money in ea's pockets right? Also the number of complaints compared to the copies sold was a very small percentage, it's just that they made the most noise.

I dont doubt that, im mainly talking about people who think the xbox will fail and I highly doubt that, but also dont doubt the kinect. I hate it but that damn thing sold units with the casual player. I'm probably one of the few that want both consoles to sell like crazy because with no competition, gaming will fall off tremendously. Without ms, sony wouldnt have made the concessions they did and now it's on ms to do the same which I have no doubt they will do. In the end, it's the best time to be a gamer whether it's casual or hardcore.

That's inevitable, regardless of price. Microsoft pulled from regions that were barely pushing 200k units a year () this gen. Looks like their buckling down and ramping up service rather than spreading themselves thin.
