The virus is actually nanobots that drive the original viral molecules into cells. Then the synthetic virus injects an RNA transcript into the cell, which then becomes integrated into the DNA of the infected cell, which in turn activates a set of stress signaling pathways to kill the virus. Once the stress response is triggered, the reverse transcriptome is "eliminated" with viral delivery.
