You can have a guy like Big Show lose to someone like Balor, but it has to be done correctly. Book it like Reigns/Lesnar at WM31, Big Show dominates early, throwing him around. Balor busts him open () then slowly gets a bit more offense, a bit more, finally takes him down, beats him on the ground, Big Show fights back, Balor takes him down again and finally gets the win. A great match where Balor overcomes the Big Show in a believable fashion.
You can only do that shyt so many times before its played out. They wasted this formula on HHH, Cena, Orton, etc. for over a decade. Big Show has lot a lot of credibility as a threat these days

Vince pushed Shawn over Razor for the Ladder rematch and that didn't do shyt for business. Razor took his talents to Atlanta and started the greatest angle in history and was apart of the greatest faction in history while Shawn phased out in less than two years after not knowing how to bump on a damn Ladder. Dumb b*stard. Came crawling back 4 years later and fans were sick of him for Benoit and Jericho in feuds
