Ghana president started well, at least in his speeches, and turned bad recently. I saw him shyting on Burkina Faso before asking for an IMF loan.
Fair enough. But African leaders are always good talkers who don’t learn from history.
He probably has a good blueprint but the means is unforgivable. IMF & World Bank are the last two institutions to go to for loans when it comes to building infrastructures in Africa. Both were created as overseers of imperialism that will keep Africa/Africans down, destabilised, destitute & underdeveloped. Look at the Islamic terrorists they unleashed on West Africa with the fallout of Libya - thus throwing a region that was enjoying relative peace after decades of chaos into another era of chaos. An underdeveloped Africa that’s in chaos benefits the west.
The current head of NATO is already positioned to become the next head of IMF. Why borrow from an institution like that for infrastructural development? You just need to read between the lines. China offers better loan deals with no strings attached & concessions as relationship develops. That’s the beauty of competition.
This is basically why I always tell people that history is just as important as science/technology. But African leaders are clowns who never learn from history hence they’re allergic to making progressive decisions.
It would be pretty fascinating if Mali & Burkina Faso end up as the only two thriving countries in West Africa in the nearest future as long those guys don’t have Judases amongst them.
