They're no different than us. They are just guessing.

Most scouts hate the idea of "grading" drafts, declaring winners/losers and making definitive judgments right when the draft happens.

But this is what they get paid to do. Networks and websites want you to rank/score/declare because that is what drives viewership, shares, and clicks.

I actually like Matt Miller, and think he does decent analysis, but everybody gets picks wrong. I imagine "it's always fun" because it makes the average innanet fan feel like he or she could do that person's job, when they obviously can't.

Matt Miller is a moron. He gets most players wrong. Especially QBs. He was part of that scouting consensus that thought Cam Newton couldn't play QB and that Blaine Gabbert was better. Last year he was saying Jared Goff was the highest rated QB since Andrew Luck.

These guys are clowns. I think some fans could do as good if not a better job.

I'd love it if like NFL GMs these draft experts could be graded on what they got right. And if they suck really bad at their jobs like bad GMs they get fired. Right now they get a free pass to be wrong every single year.
