Not really. Had some great players like OBJ, Mack, and Derek Carr. But also a lot of busts.

Every draft since 2011 has been kinda weak.

This is your problem and the same problem these "draft experts" have. They think college stats matter. OBJ didn't all of a sudden get better in 2013. He just finally got a QB. Marquise Lee also didn't just get worse when he got to the NFL. He got exposed. OBJ always had the HOF talent and Marquise Lee was always a fraud.

Your problem is you get fooled by college production when it is really not predictive of NFL success at all.

The generational talent that came out of the 2014 draft was Khalil Mack not Clowney.

Denmark has been mostly injured and Marvin Lewis is a fukking moron who waits too long to play his young players. Who knows if he'll be good: what'll likely happen is he's injured anotherhalf year, we pick up his option, he had a break out year, then he goes and signs with someone else

Matt Miller is a moron. He gets most players wrong. Especially QBs. He was part of that scouting consensus that thought Cam Newton couldn't play QB and that Blaine Gabbert was better. Last year he was saying Jared Goff was the highest rated QB since Andrew Luck.

These guys are clowns. I think some fans could do as good if not a better job.

I'd love it if like NFL GMs these draft experts could be graded on what they got right. And if they suck really bad at their jobs like bad GMs they get fired. Right now they get a free pass to be wrong every single year.

But I'm saying -- you are on this board all the time, TRYING to do what he does, and have a storage space full of garbage ass predictions, declarations, hopes & dreams.

So if anything, you should understand that predicting the future is hardly a science. And even if I don't like Goff, I understand that saying he's a bust after his rookie year is silly.

This thread smacks of jealousy. If you wanna do what he does: Learn to write, build a site, build an audience, get hired.

I always knew Mack was a beast ever since he played against my Buckeyes in college. He is the best defensive player in the NFL.

That being said this was Clowney first full healthy season as a pro and he was Def the MVP of thier first round playoff win.

He's a physical freak of nature and will beast as long as he's healthy.

Clowney overrated but he was the best player on the number 1 defense in the league with JJ Watt out while being the only pro bowler on that defense.

Clowney was praised as a GREAT run stopper coming out of college.

His signature college highlight was a run stop



This year he lead the league in tackles for loss (until he sat out the last game because the Texans clinched the playoffs and division)

The fact that he can shut down the run and make drive killing run stops WHILE having pass rush ability makes just as good as scouts thought he could be.
