Wtf...I guess living in the hood is just for show now...I guess there's no real struggle even in the hood anymore.

I guess there's no more yute grow up wit poppa gone and mami strung out? House full of kids so you learn to fight for survival there first. Then there's little nigglets who somehow have it worst than you and try to prey on you when you step out the door.

Guess there's no more having to fight that bully gang in your jects every week? Having to fight before or after school on the walk home. Having to fight cause your lil brother or sister is being ganged up on.

No more having to fight for your lunch huh, cause a nikka who's momma ain't cooking shyt is starving and want your food. Or a nikka want your jacket...but it's your only jacket...mommy will kill you...plus you won't get another!

Lil nikkas not growing up seeing big brothers and cousins thumping. Watching and learning to fight from them.

Basically...the black community isn't suffering as much so the youth aren't growing up as hardened and battle tested.

:wow::wow::wow::wow:

you know exactly what i'm talking bout.

this generation is soft as fukk :damn:

no lie

it kills me when people expose themselves watching MMA fights saying stuff like "its just a leg kick, walk through that shyt :pacspit:"

:why:

a flush inside leg kick will make a man go back to school, finish his degree, and begin work at a non-profit

You ain't alone breh :mjcry:

girl i met there that i eventually hooked up with him me with this the first time we rolled

that true feeling of powerlessness :wow:

being from the hood ain't get me shyt in that gym

:heh: I got hit with that 3 times in one session last week. I'm sitting there like how the fukk I keep ending up in this position :dwillhuh:

Screaming I'm from Brooklyn didn't help me either :mjcry:

This is what is confusing breh. How did people make out of their youth without getting in fights? Fighting was inevitable growing up. Didn't matter if you were nice, mean, big, small... you were going to get in fights.

How a grown man can be comfortable not knowing how to protect himself has me like :wow:

facts.i dont trust any man that's never been in a fight.

im grateful i grew up with brothers for real. your pops can only teach you so much about street shyt. My brothers/cousins were my training for real fights.

I keep telling these cats...go talk their old heads...their uncles and older cousins and people who were of age in the late 60's and 70's

EVERYONE was training in something. Everyone was doing SOMETHING. The gun shyt was a last resort when you truly had some beef. Back in the day it was crews. And everyone had hands or some kind of skill or else you were a square and cats weren't fukking with you.

Do your research on old NYC...old Oakland...old New Jersey...TV and the internet made the later generations soft. In 2015 it's like eh I'ma just pop this nikka next time I see him go to the corner store to get a roll up and that's the end of it.
Breh, for real, not just speaking with old heads but watching old videos/documentaries on combat/Martial arts back then you see dudes were heavy into the martial arts and boxing was of course huge back then, karate, judo, forms of kung fu damn near everybody in the hood was learning something...then sometime in the 90s on down its started to die down...

These motherfukkers today:scust:

They might clown a martial arts gi, by saying it looks gay but then they out here listening to rappers who wear skirts and tight ass leggings:mjlol:

speaking that hard shyt, who weigh 100 pounds soaking wet...just because you're covered in tats and have tight dreads, doesnt make you hard.

Yeah. I grew up fightin. But it happens. My oldest nephew is real chill. He went to private school and only had one fight in his whole life. Me on the other hand I'm 46-4 :myman:

Must be a generational thing :jbhmm:

Do kids not fight in schools anymore?
