Poor ppl are not more predisposed to commit crimes.
People who rob, steal and murder for money are typically not trying to simply put food on the table and keep a roof over their heads. They want massive wealth and they want it fast. Either that or they are drug addicts. It's pure greed and/or lust.
There are organized gangs in wealthy socialist countries like Sweden and Canada where the basic necessities of life are secure. What does that tell you?
Now, of course being surrounded by obscene wealth, especially if you're poor relatively speaking, might create feelings of envy, anger, a sense that you deserve more etc which can lead you to take extreme measures in order to obtain that wealth. In other words there might be a correlation between poverty/inequality and crime, but not a causal link.

The premise of this thread is poverty leads to crime. I disagree with this. What is your opinion on the matter?
They youth themselves mention lack of guidance as the number one reason to violence. Their parents basically abandoned them. And the children know its not due to "mama working a million hours a week". People have children and don't know, or dont care to raise them.
