All of this is very true.
I appreciate the feeling that even if we were strangers, a black man would have my back if I were ever put in a uncomfortable situation (e.g being harassed at a bar). This doesn't mean physically fighting for me or anything, but it would be as simple as taking the time to ask me if I am okay (because he would genuinely want to know...not because he was trying to holler). The whole brotha/sista thing.
