I'm gonna sound like a broken record but all this goes back to slavery and colonization, in which a group of "proxies" were somehow "elevated" vs the majority of the group. Whether it be "house slaves" or "evolués" ("evolved") in the colonies and/or mixed people (I'm mixed myself). Now it's mostly gender-based, but the game is the same : showing that that particular group is somehow "better" than the rest, protecting/promoting them as a way of further demonizing the majority of the oppressed group (in this case, Black people). I know of various anti-racist decolonial feminists and LGBQT who are aware of this here in France, and obviously they are not invited at the mainstream tables.
