:jbhmm:You can relate huh

White people were listening to pac, public enemy, wu tang and dead prez. And we can't relate to that. Hip hop has actually taught me a lot.

You see me listening to this type of music as just enjoying "savagery" or whatever. I don't. A lot of rappers like Kodak, Lil Herb who do rap about violent shyt, they also rap about other things as well about how the system doesn't care about black folks, especially young black men. And give context to why some poor black people in their hood do the things they do, because of poverty, a broken home, the system and the psychological affects of it all.

And Hip hop wasn't created for whites to relate to. It was a voice for the black community. kodak black is telling his story just as much as a Kendrick Lamar.

You're making a little too much sense for a young white girl.

Nah, I just I think conscious rappers or a Kendrick type rapper and street rappers like Kodak black can offer the same things to some degree, it's just they both convey their message differently. Last year people were shouting Kendricks "Were gonna be alright" at protests, the year before in Ferguson they were blasting Boosie and shouting Boosie lyrics.

No matter someone's background or lifestyle and how they convey it, you can read or hear between the lines, you can still learn stuff. I came from a family of poor drug addicts and alcoholics, my sister got knocked up when she was 15. I'm a high school drop out, and the highest grade I completed was 8th. I myself have done questionable shyt when I was struggling for money. I don't like to judge and am not gonna judge someone and a rapper like Kodak black just because their message is conveyed in a manner that isn't Nas like :yeshrug:
