If u were in situations where u have to use escalators on a regular basis, u would know about it.

only time i use them is at the mall or target cause thats the only places that has them where i live, but this is the first ive ever heard about standing to a certain side. everyone here just stands and waits...

Yeah, I guess that makes sense.

I live in London and I'm a city boy, I've always lived in big cities. In most cities where u have to get on the subway/underground, there are big escalators that take you all the way down so I use them all the time. So if u don't know, then that means you probably don't have to use them on a regular basis.

I totally understand that and that makes sense, but i live in a city where we dont got no subway or anything underground at all. i live in a city where it has the biggest population out of the whole state and its barely half a milli. We just got a IMax theatre literally this week. We on some behind 10 years in technology. It was just weird to hear that, thats all

believe it or not, studies have shown that walking up the escalator is faster than walking up stairs. I know, hard to believe right

bullshyt ..where the hell did you get your studies front .... have you ever been to the airport and got on the moving sidewalks down those long corridors and watch how you glide past people walking on the carpet ...if you are walking on the moving sidewalk
but OP ...move over to the right of the escalator ...its the same as blocking the left lane on a highway, you pass people on the left lane..
