Again not seeing how money equates to happiness

Man it doesn't. The problem is that people associate material things with happiness. And while we all desire material things, those same material items that give us perceived happiness also causes suffering. So if you have a big house that makes you happy, you will be even sadder if it gets taken away. Not to get all philosophical, but true happiness comes from within. I'm not religious at all, but I do identify with Buddhism a lot, and one thing that I learned from it was to not be attached to anything material because that only creates "fake happiness"

This isn't an attack against achieving financial success. I'm trying to get paid like the next man, but I could never let money define my happiness. I just turned down a job paying $4 less an hour to take another job that I would be happier doing. It's not millions of dollars, but it is around 8 racks a year. And soon I plan to leave that job once my business gets rolling. I'll be making even less, but I'll be happier with the freedom.

Money only makes you happy if you like materialistic things , but I don't think money can buy joy.
Freedom, doing what you want and not what you have to do to make a living, peace of mind, stability, knowing your fam good and set for the future, not having to worry about how to take care of yourkids or needing to sacrifice anything regarding their well being ( school, safe neighborhood, good diet etc.) Those are not materialistic things but having money provides you with all of that. And those things bring joy to most people.
