That's part of the problem. This isn't broken down by demographics, but we know which group was affected most. The whole war on drugs thing really took a toll on the community. If there were any inroads being made towards improving race relations and progress within the black community, that "war on drugs" only succeeded at impeding those, while the drugs themselves have continued to prosper.

This isn't to put it all on mass-incarceration, though. There are so many other factors at play like welfare. Some assistance programs wouldnt provide any help if a man was in the home.

What's op trying to say? The black family hasn't been under constant attack, in particularly the 60s at the height of the black panther movement? And again attacked in the 80s by the war of drugs?
New n*ggas and the uneducated think black american families just woke up after the 80's dysfunctional or nonexistent.
