What needs to happen is they need to scrap the 7 seed. Just have 8-9 or if its a 3 way tie like how it was in the bubble have them all play each other

I'd prefer they scrap the entire play in shyt but I could get with this idea if they must do it. Leave the 7 seed alone, they already earned their way in. Have 8 and 9 play for the 8 seed if they within 3 games...

But truly I'd rather thet just scrap the whole shyt...

it did not stop OKC nor the Pistons. Think Raptors either. OKC just flat out quit getting blown out by 70. OKC wants Cade and they dont want anything to stop them

Instead of 10+ teams tanking we had a few, it was a success. No one can deny it.

Teams like Hornets, Pacers, Bulls, Kings, Pelicans, Spurs, and Grizzlies would have started tanking much sooner if not for the play-in. We only had two teams with their playoff position going into last day.

And this isn't about Detroit and OKC, those are poor examples. They came into the season tanking. It is about fringe teams who give up way too early and those teams kept competing. That was the goal and it stopped that.

Pacers and Spurs never tank and the East was so bunched up that 4-10 legitimately had a shot to get in. Add in teams like the Kings and Pelicans who really wanna make the playoffs regardless and you have this scenario anyway.

Something to watch, if all the seeds or 3/4 seeds hold, it will hopefully dead this dumb shyt from being done again. The East 7 beat the 8, and the 9 beat the 10...

So if all or most of the seeds are gonna hold, what the fukk was the point of the fukking play-in?

I don't feel that the raptors tanked.

But it did stop teams like the Kings and Bulls in particular from giving up. In fact the Bulls bought in to make the play-in, they just failed to do so.

The lottery system already stopped that.

Philly was really the only team that purposefully tanked seasons on purpose.

Most of the bottom feed teams had cornerstone stars who were trying to win regardless. Some teams are just naturally bad.

Charlotte wouldve benefited from losing because of injuries. But since there are so many bad teams, they still had a shot. In the end all it got them was an extra road game.

Play-in was meant to decrease tanking. And if the Wizards lose to the Pacers in another bad game it will keep a non-competitive team out of the 1st round too.
