i typically get into full NBA mode right around christmas time.

i get what op is saying though.. its gonna be miami indiana vs the thunder (maybe the spurs).. basketball has always been the most predictable of the major sports though :manny:

it doesn't help that whoever did scheduling this year should be FIRED.. last week or so espn had on 2 of the worst matchups ive seen in my 22+ years watching on a friday(one was pistons vs kings :heh:). and the lakers are getting too many games with no bean.

I agree with the OP...and not just because I'm a Laker fan.

  • Heat coasting (no more intrigue with them really..no more inner beefs or drama)
  • Rose out for season.
  • Knicks and Nets SUCK
  • East is terrible. If the season ended today, the West's 8th seed would have homecourt advantage. Pelicans are sitting 13th in the West and has the same record as the East's 7th seed. :snoop:
  • The only unknown is who is going to see the Spurs in the WCF.
  • Lebron is on autopilot and he still might easily win MVP  :saddurant:
I'm a huge NBA fan but the only excitement I get these days are from seeing the Pacers and Warriors develop and seeing young stars emerge. It is early though.

try to put together an all-star team in the East and see how pathetic it is

no more 40 point games from superstars........there are few superstars left in the league.....old age and injuries have taken away most.....last couple of drafts have been pathetic.....too many of the best players have teamed up to build super teams

all in all very little intrigue or interest this year........we already know it'll be Miami v. Indiana in the East and in the West it'll be SA v. whoever survives the grueling West
Face it: You're a KOBE stan and Kobe not playing makes the NBA boring to you.

Many felt the same way when MJ retired. We've seen this phenomenon before. Nothing to see here, folks

Kobe not playing is huge. But still even if he was, the league still sucks overall right now. There just aren't as many superstars as there were in the early 2000s. Have people forgotten how stacked the league used to be?
