Lmao who got the video of the young bul in NY do the drill dances, bouncing off walls and shyt
I just don't understand the whole trap/drill thing.
To me it leads directly back to what Like was doing early on in FL.
The tempo is different than "Classic Hip Hop".
Classical is like 90 bpms. On average. It can dip to 80 or go toward 100 but once you get over 100 you're more into the Disco tempo. Dance music.
And I GET IT. Booty shake music. Crunk. Trap. Drill. They all basically try to get into that Disco tempo for the purpose of bytches twerking and dancing in general. I get it.
Keep in mind, Trap and Drill are deceptively slow sounding because of the way people rap to it and the way they arrange the sounds, but the Disco tempo is there in the double time of seemingly slow music. AND, you have the benefit of a super slow mode for old people and children to b able to key into, and the extra Disco level for the turnt among us.
But what suffers is the ability to rap to the shyt.
Any time I fukc with a Trap type beat I attempt to invent a flow that will fit it.
I will never use that "Migos" flow or whatever it's called that EVERY SINGLE rapper uses over those kinda beats
Hell Rell was doing it. And that's what disappointed me. He can rap. He should be able to do something unique with his bars over the Drill sound.
