He does get em now. When he was younger he was darker. You'll notice if you watch his early movies. Although he always has done Hispanic roles from time to time but in his younger days he was darker.
Also, he's not light skinned. He's brown skinned. If you didn't know, some people wouldn't know he was biracial. I didn't until he started doing Breaking Bad.

I never saw his in older movies. I know him from Breaking Bad and his newer work. He looks llike a Puerto Rican, Dominican, or Venezuelan with Afro ancestry to me.
