i'm not, all those artists have self centerd moments, but they have the talent to transcend that element. and i feel they tell other peoples stories using first person narratives. ultimately big and jay are telling the stories about nikkaz who made bad decisions out of desperation, and those stories are about a generation of kids who grew up in the crack era, which was a particularly destructive time in american history. even beyond the musicality of it it is an important historical document.

Drake does the same but in the context of his own story
So again..Biggie, Cam, max B, Jay etc etc. all these rappers are self centered when it comes to their music
