let me ask you a question.

if Goat Kobe would've won one title and thru up them silly numbers he did the year he scored 81 and 62 in 3 qtrs. and lets say Kobe got into a car accident and was never the same. would you say "nope, dont you let that guy in the hall"? even if thats all you have ever seen of him?

There are special case scenarios where you have to say Eff the rules. let a nucca in. and this is one of them. FREE DROSE(into the hall of fame.)

I don't deal in abstract hypotheticals.

The fact is D-Rose at this point of his career doesn't deserve HOF.

It's best to debate facts WITH FACTS.

Gang violence...
If that statement was wrong in every way, explain to me why his career average in points is only 13.7? Explain to me why he was looking like one of the worst PGs in the league this season when he was the #1 option/leader on the Celtics? Explain to me why the Mavericks have a better offense with Jameer Nelson instead of him?
he has a very broad skillset and due to his attitude, chemistry and team makeup is going to be very important.

also, mavs have a better defense now.

So basically he's a megalomaniacal a$$hole who gets away with it because he's smart and talented :ld:? It's rather :mindblown: how often people mistake being unstable and petulant with being an "alpha" with "so much fire". Naw he's a fukkin' child who throws tantrums when he doesn't get his way and gets off on fukking with people...even terminally ill children.

A classic case of be so smart till you become dumb brehs :troll:

Always liked Rondo as a player though

Rondo is a point guard that has to play on a specific type of team. He has to be able to dominate the ball, he has to have shooters around him, and he has to have a big man...if he goes to a team like that...say Detriot...where Meeks is a really good catch and shoot guy and Drummond is a monster in the middle, Rondo himself might not put up great numbers, but Meeks and Drummond are going to get tons of wide open looks based of the stuff he will create for him...

Of course his numbers are bad in Dallas...dallas entire team prefers to iso...

Dirk wants the ball so he can pivot for 10 seconds and shoot a fadaway...

Monta wants the ball so he can dribble for 5 seconds and then pull up or drive...

Harris wants to do exactly what Monta does...

Parsons and Charlie V are the only players on that team that do any catching and shooting at all...

So yeah...Rondo is going to look bad when he is playing on a team where he can't use his primary skill set...

But I forgot this is the Coli where 90% of sports arguments don't go past box scores and ppg...

Upping this thread for when this dude ends up in Sacramento and is just feeding Cousins lob after lob and turns Rudy Gay into a deadly catch and shoot player...:scust:

Agree with everything you posted except "Rondo may not put up big numbers..."

When he's playing on that certain type of team, he'll flourish as a floor general and also statistically.

This doesn't answer any of my questions. And it's less to do with his attitude and more to do with his talent on why he ain't contributing more to this Mavs team.

When he's playing on a team where he can use his primary skill set, they suffer offensively because he isn't a scoring threat. Every season in Boston where his role increased, Boston's offensive rating decreased.

He had his chance to run his own team and be the #1 option this season in Boston and failed miserably.

for some reason i dont see stan and rondo getting along :patrice:

he needs a chill head coach. kings/bos were talking trades for years with boogie or rondo involved..i think that would be a good pairing under george karl..who pretty much let his PGs run the show throughout his coaching career. other than that, lakers wouldnt be a bad fit either...byron scott obviously doesnt give a fukk and also has let his PGs do what they want (Kidd/CP3)..and Bean loves him so :manny: Id be surprised if he ended up anywhere other than Sac or LAL

holiday and evans are signed through 16/17 at about 21 total. gordon might come off the books this offseason if he doesnt exercise his option but he probably will (15m). NO needs to put money in wings and a replacement for Asik if they arent signing him.

Collison and Clarkson are both nice but Collison is only at 5m and hasnt been durable and LAL could just sign Rondo to a 1 year big deal to pair him up with Kobe then hand the team to Clarkson afterwards. They are easily the most likely destinations

He had his chance to run his own team and be the #1 option this season in Boston and failed miserably.

He was playing with a broken down KG...a past his prime Pierce...a superman/bizarro player in Jeff Green (there were times in boston were jeff green looked like a top 15 player and there were times you might not even notice he played 32 minutes)...

Avery Bradley is not looking to shoot...

"Run his own team and be a number one option"...and who did his team consist of?

Marcus Smart :russ:

Jared Sullinger :russ:

Brandon Bass:russ:

So Rondo was a "failure" in boston because he couldn't run a team full of rookies, nonathletic plodding big men and defensive specialist who can barely dribble...

I agree Rondo is not a scoring threat, that is why he needs catch and shoot guys and big men that he can just feed...

Like...put him on the Bulls with Hinrich, Dunleavy and Mirotic...all 3 of these dudes can put it on the floor but all 3 prefer to catch it and instantly shoot it...

Rondo would get these dudes TONS of catch and shoot opportunities...

You said he had his chance to be a #1 option? How can that be when he never looks to score for himself:russ:? He was a "1 option" to do what exactly?

Anyone who is basing Rondo's worth around what he is doing in Dallas just doesn't pay an attention to the intricacies of his game....IF he ends up on a team with some catch and shoot guys and a competent offensive big man that teams is going to be MUCH better offensively with Rondo than without him...

He had his chance in Boston? Deconstructing a past it's prime championship team for draft picks while at the same time letting a college coach cut his teeth and not have to worry about winning or losing games is "a chance"?

That's like saying...MCW had his chance in Philly...he was horrible so they traded him...

They are going to have to move Holiday (hard to do because of his injury history) and replace Gordon with a much better shooter then that would be a nice fit...

I just don't see how they move Holiday though with how hurt he has been the last two years...

I agree...I was thinking Detriot because of the personnel...but I can actually see these dudes getting in a real fist fight...
