This PNG image has the incorrect file extension

It's probably too big or you're not uploading directly from your phone/computer. If you're using url links to upload it won't work.

I have saved them to my HD and then tried to upload. I get that message everytime regardless.

That's why. Change the file extension to .png before you upload.
