Basketball is ugly to watch when the rules aren't enforced. Any games that have clowns like Dan Crawford, Ed Malloy, or Mike Callahan reffing are going to be awful.

Nah man basketball games are never reffed well. NBA is the only major sports where reffing can change the outcome of the games really much. Pick a sports like soccer you get yellow card and it you do some really big bullshyt then a red one and you are out, but most of the part you play the whole game. Meanwhile the basketball game is built in such ways that you can take out the player off the big part of the game like its nothing, you can let one foul slip while blowing a whistle for another one. That's the main thing that pisses me off the way reffing gets so inconsistent.

i think NBA are actually refs pretty well all things considered. there is some kind of violation everytime down the floor. you canrt call everything or you mess up the flow. you want them to let some fouls go, but its never easy to tell whats not hard enough to be called when the game is played at such a fast pace. where is the line? thats subjective.

refs arent perfect and they dont need to be. fans cry about officiating way too much.

how can you say officials in other sports dont affect the game as much ? pass interference calls in the NFL are huge and game changing.

NFL refs can fukk around, but it's much easier for NBA officials to do it. They can literally remove players from games. Call a couple pass interference calls on a DB and its not like the coach has to sit him down so he won't foul out.

Plus, penalties in the NBA put points on the board.
