Maybe, just maybe, Bridgewater isn't that good.

It's not just one or two people saying his stock has fallen.

I always find it funny, every 2 or 3 years we get this same thread on here. Dude outraged a black QBs stock is falling. And the outrage is simply based on his skintone and the position he plays.

I`m glad I don't share the same hangups as some of yall do.

for once you make a good point.

you just made it on the wrong player....teddy checks out on tape

oh well this is good for teddy less chance he gets stuck with a shytty team.

I think these draft dudes hype up lesser known players so on the off chance they actually make it big they can say "see I told u that guy was the truth!" Ignoring the fact that they missed on the other 9/10 picks. Like who would actually get excited about Blake Bortles or Dereck Carr as ur franchise QB lol

I don't really know the in's and out's of the guy, I just know this always happens here.

And I know why it happens. It's quite corny, cause the truly gifted black QB's get picked high, and it seems that a lot of posters think every black QB is a Cam Newton, Mike Vick, Vince Young type prospect

Blake Bortles isn't just hyped by draft analysts though, that's the thing the analysts go off of what they know and hear from the GM's.

Not saying they don't have personal slight's here and there, but there's a reason they also know the top pick days if not weeks before it's made.

Also, it's not about what you the fan will get excited about. The fans don't know shyt for the most part.
How many were getting excited for Colin Kaep, Andy Dalton,. Russel Wilson Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers.

:patrice: I'ont know. Look at that getup. Mike was once married to Juanita. Dude might be well on his way.

Them jeans :mjlol:

:mjpls:

I doubt Houston's GM a :mjpls:. Look at his beautiful wife. Lovie Smith is more a :mjpls: than Houston's GM, and I'm serious.

If Houston doesn't take Bridgewater it's because they're taking Clowney, who is a better prospect than Bridgewater pound for pound. The Jaguars should take Teddy at 3. I don't understand why Teddy is failing.

To a lesser extent the same thing is happening to Eric Ebron. All I've been hearing about him lately, and from Bill Polian just now on ESPN2, is that he's not mature enough and has character issues. Idk where this is coming from :mindblown: This guy was a great teammate to everyone at UNC, never had any problems, got into trouble, anything like that. He was a team leader, he played hurt, and hell he even played defensive end some when he had to.

This is what happens when you have such a long break between the combine/pro days and the draft....they find something to harp on, whether true or not, and just run with it.

If this means Ebron slides to a good offense, I'll be happy. And if this means Bridgewater falls to the Browns at 26, I'll be fukkin ecstatic.

Dog, Ebron would be perfect for the Giants. Don't see how they could pass him up.

Todd McShay and Jaws on SC just said his stock has fallen mainly of his pro day, and that he seemed "shaky" against no defenders.

Then turned around and said his game tape was the best out of all quarterbacks.

bu.. bu.. bu.. but your pro-day shouldn't effect your draft stock :camby:

Unless your a cam or a vick, It dosen't seem like you get a chance as a black QB :smh:

I don't know why some posters are talking about (unknown) NFL team preferences when we're talking about the media's view and outlook of Teddy Bridgewater's type. But these posters are distracting (read: using red herring fallacy) from the point of your post. I don't understand why Mayock is backing down on his projections of Teddy. There are several explanations. Perhaps Teddy's average Wonderlic and interview, along with a poor pro day hurt him? Maybe black QBs without exemplenary physical traits have to succeed more in these areas to be considered legitimate?

Cam got it worse than any black QB in recent history....people were talking about how his fukking smile was an indicator of how he's a bad QB.

Apparently Ebron scored a low Wonderlic and didn't interview well. These factors might be depressing his draft projections, just like they're doing Teddy's.

I guess pro days matter and/or black QBs need better pro days to be legitimate in Mayock's eyes? It's hard to say.

A former GM has even came out and said he's stock has been dropping even before his proday.
