Mmhm. Many of us were doing this before there was a name for it.

The BC doesn't make this easy, and that's anywhere on earth. IIRC, it was bw in Africa who started the trend. I'm just glad bw are really waking up to this.

Yes. I've BEEN living it. Once I came out of my little bought of depression a few years ago I vowed to always live it. If it causes me stress, messing with my mental, physical or emotional health, etc I don't want it and will avoid it at all costs. Once I started doing that without giving a damn about how it made others feel it brought so much peace to my life

I believe he was just nipping ya logic in the bud.

I wasn’t going to answer you because I would’ve probably either been gay or hurt.

I don’t allow people to gaslight me.

I knew where that conversation was heading based off the questions you asked.

No thank you. 🛑
Calling me a bytch is the way to nip my logic in the bud?

Now who's gaslighting?

Love it. It really is a game changer.

Lowkey, SYSBM is damn near the same thing, but of course when we do it, it's a joke.

No one has ever called you a bytch before?

That's not the point, he called her out of her name because he misunderstood her point not because she was acting like a bytch. It was used as a slight when it wasn't necessary. She did exactly what the soft life means, someone calling you out of your name and instead of arguing with them just make them disappear/remove it or them from your life. Easy peasy

Edit- I thought she put you on ignore, my bad

I didn’t call her nothing.

Now you know “How badly they treat themselves” is a small tiny skip away from “we treat ourselves this way because of black men”

Not necessarily. I would say it's more so a community issue. Black girls aren't raised to be soft, them the world treats us basically like we're men, and in relationships, it's hit or miss. So it's more about centering your own peace (rather than shouldering the burden of your family/community/job etc) and engaging in self care, self love, setting and keeping firm boundaries, etc.
