I never rocked with NY rappers like that growing up at the time

I felt a lot of them were overrated personally, but now I'm older and giving them a listen

Wait...you “finally” listened to reasonable doubt...a debatable masterpiece in hip hop, but you are giving a career analysis when you clearly havent heard his catalog? Wtf is this

Hov dropped 4 albums in a 7 year period & 3 of them were weedplates

Kingdom Come and BP3 at least have really good songs on them, even if you can't play the albums front to back. I agree that MCHG is :trash:, though.

Jay had the cocaine voice on ESOM

"3 card molly"

:mjlol:

The fukk was wrong with his voice in the second verse? Was that song not recorded in one session? :scust:

03 Bonnie and Clyde for me :hhh:

This is why I tell nikkaz Nas will beat Jay-Z in a versus, all his radio hits have aged terribly and he was making that cornball shyt across multiple albums to appeal to several demographics, Reasonable Doubt his best album becuase he stuck to one demographic and kept it hip hop, worst song on the album is ain't no nikka

but he got a lot of garbage joints like that, Hey Papi, Sunshine, that horrible justify my thug which was a waste of a dope beat, etc

Gotta give Jay credit though, he is smart enough to know to not use those wack ass joints

But he got lot of filler on his albums besides Reasonable Doubt, Blueprint 1, and the Black Album, it is what it is, he had joints for different crowds on all his album and it lowered the quality of the album

Even Big Pimpin don't hit like that no more, and sound kinda of corny, as well as that I just wanna love you by Pharrell, neptunes beats age like milk except for grinding
