Brush my teeth first thing in the morning before showering.

I don't wake up with the dragon, cold sores and spots in my throat.

That's exactly how it works :pachaha:

I usually have sex upon waking up too, so I don't allow for my shyt to be funky upon waking up. I don't allow my lady to either.

You know 95% of people don't be eating right. They'll eat salt and vinegar chips, sour cream and cheddar, Doritos and shyt, smoke something then go to sleep, wake up, mouth on death mode. Talking bout "my food taste funny if I brush. fukk outta here with that shyt.
It's not breh.

Bacteria still builds in your mouth overnight whether you brush them before bed or not, not waking up with stank breath doesn't mean your mouth is clean

During a workday, brush first, shower, get dressed and then with whatever time left I decide what I'm going to eat (if I decide to eat breakfast). Breakfast is probably on the bottom of my priorities in the morning.

Its not an option, it's mandatory in black households. That and you don't be showing up to the breakfast table with the dragon talking bout "good morning" mouth smelling like shyt, crust in your eyes and shyt.

Let these cacs who be sleepin with their dogs, waking up to'em licking their face tell you otherwise tho.

:russ: Exactly. There’s nothing more disgusting than morning breath. Teeth getting brushed as soon as your up.

You're supposed to brush your teeth after you wake up to get rid of the bacteria that grows in your mouth during sleep, whether or not you brushed before you went to sleep. In fact, brushing your teeth after breakfast can even damage your teeth if you don't wait at least an hour

According to Dr. Mitali Hariawala, Dental Community Manager at quip, brushing your teeth straight after eating is essentially like scrubbing a cleaning detergent on your enamel. Although your enamel is incredibly strong, brushing acid-softened-enamel will wear it down, resulting in tooth decay and discolored teeth (as the yellow layer directly below your enamel, called Dentin, gets exposed).

Brushing your teeth in the morning is important because it resets your mouth ready for the foods of the day and removes the bacteria that grows in your mouth overnight. This bacteria causes morning breath and turns sugar into acid (that’s why sugar is bad for your teeth). Brushing in the morning makes sure your teeth wake up on the right side of clean, ensuring long-lasting health (so long as you’re also brushing at night of course - something we tried to make less of a chore with the super silent and sensitive vibrations of quip) for a long, healthy life.

In short, you should definitely brush before breakfast. We recommend waking up, taking a big gulp of water, then brushing right before doing anything else.

“If you’re adamant about brushing after eating, wait at least 30 minutes after eating before brushing,” according to Dr. Hariawala, because your enamel needs time to chill before being brushed.

quip | Blog | Should you brush your teeth before or after breakfast?

According to the American dental society you should brush at least once during the day and once before bed. Also the only time you should not brush right after eating is if you have an acidic meal. Just because people brush AFTER eating does not mean they are doing it right away.

I usually eat first and the last thing I do before I leave the house is brush, there's more than 30 minutes between the two.
Anyway this discussion was interesting and I think I may incorporate a 3rd brushing session or flossing session during my day.

You're still supposed to brush at night and in the morning. That's minimum.

Why would anyone brush their teeth before eating? Mouth smelling like ass from the eggs you ate this morning all day.

:scust:
I brush my teeth last, so I don't have to interact with people with mush mouth all day. Thecoli is different.

Do you brush after lunch and dinner too?

1&2 ( I brush my teeth during I shower BUT I do use mouthwash after all that), 3, and 4.

Why the fukk will it matter if you brush after you eat? Majority of bacteria will come from DURING your sleep.
You're eating bacteria that doesn't belong in your gut. Plus flouride in toothpaste protects the enamel on your teeth from food. Brushing before restarts saliva glands to help break down food too. It's a bunch of reasons but that's all I remember right now.

I dont eat breakfast but I can understand people not wanting to brush before they eat because the food tastes weird. Unless you are up a good 30-40 mins before then you should brush before. Also brush at night, breath will be much better in the morning.
