Just hit me that dude reminds me of Simply Red. :flabbynsick:

In what genre?

I agree. But I've always wondered why blacks gave up on rock music so easily. Black music hasn't really evolved over the last 15-20 years imo.

I don't know if I agree so much with what you're saying about black folks giving up Rock. It progressed into Funk and then RnB I guess, somebody like IllmaticDelta could really explain it better than me.

The fact that OP is saying that blacks would ever be responsible for something as swaggerless, flavorless and as cacish as Hozier is an insult to all black music.

But @PhonZhi is a known troll so I'm gonna let him cook :manny:

I guess I'm thinking in terms of how the bands in the video I posted were influential to bands today like Bad Brains and Death yet never really got any shine. shyt, Little Richard pretty much influenced modern heavy metal and the singer from Motorhead has said how racist it is that he and Chuck Berry never get props but I'm not doubting the :mjpls: of the situation

I don't thinks blacks gave up on rock, they were phased out until black people moved on and created something else, which ended up being funk/soul R&B.
