based off last years finals, I cant agree. Kobe would not have been slowed down by Boris Diaw on the brightest stage. LeBron is a better passer and rebounder (due to position), but thats it. Kobe in his prime is clearly a better scorer, better on-ball defender, more clutch. I just think he's better. Kobe played a younger version of the Spurs in 05, and played better than Bron and beat them in a much more convincing manner. thats all I needed to see. the guy who on the career shoots 27% in crunch time is more clutch? the guy with a lower scoring average and shoots much less efficient and who has played james harden type defense since about midway through the 2008-2009 season? the spurs game plan was give james long midrange jumpers off the dribble because long 2 point shots are awful shots to take off the dribble. very little chance of an offensive rebound, no chance of getting a shooting foul, and it's only worth 2 points as opposed to 3. theres a reason he doesn't take that shot terribly often.

efficiency doesnt have anything to do with being a better scorer. Iverson was widely regarded as the best scorer in basketball at one point, and he struggled to shoot 40% so just stop with that argument. Kobe is a better scorer period. he can literally score anywhere on the court with consistency. If a team needed 1 player to score 40 consistently, it would be Kobe not LeBron.
