HHH reportedly going from putting Reigns over to Sting is kind of ridiculous if the ultimate goal is to make his opponent look good or even give exposure to their audience. One guy has almost 30 years of experience with 11 heavyweight title reigns while the other has 4 years of experience with only 5-6 months as a singles wrestler. Priorities are mixed up with that one.

When was the plan ever for HHH to put over Reigns? Sting is coming back to have his Wrestlemania moment, the only way that's happening is if he goes over an established legend (who can still wrestle) in a marquee match

I remember hearing about it before he got injured. He was supposed to run through the Authority guys and probably face the big fish at Survivor Series. They had to do the audible. I don't think the original plan was to face him at WM but I think that's what they should've done once Reigns came back.

Also Sting-HHH isn't going to be that much better than Sting-UT in terms of match quality. They're both going to be okay.

:what:

Did you see HHH and taker wrestle last year? Taker has aged in dog years compared to HHH, who still had a classic with Bryan and was very solid in the evolution matches

Yeah I did. Match wasn't great but how much of that is terrible chemistry with Brock? Same thing with HHH. Bryan is one of the best wrestlers on the planet. Could have a great match with a test dummy. Plus the story was there. HHH's role match wasn't that much different from his usual plodding heel stuff.

I'll give you that the heel HHH vs. babyface Sting match is a better idea than the Icon vs. Phenom stuff.

Taker and Brock had a classic HIAC match together, they have chemistry, problem is taker is DONE. Unless HBGOAT walking through that door, no one is going to be able to carry him to a good match

That was over 10 years ago. Brock as a wrestler in 2003 is vastly different from Brock in 2013 and 2014. Hell, Brock's series with HHH are good because of the story and psychology, but the action leaves a lot to be desired. I place a lot of the blame on Brock. I mean cats loved the Taker-Punk match at 29. UT wasn't looking great that year either.

Lesnar injured Taker's neck in that match, it was bound to fail immediately after that
