Guards have bad shooting starts, big men typically just get in foul trouble, can't defend or can't do anything but dunk. But, they almost always can finish at the rim, I can't think of any big men that shot this poorly around the rim then improved dramatically.

He's shooting a lower percentage at the rim than some guards, that should never happen, even if you're struggling. That shows that NBA length and the athleticism at the rim are bothering him ALOT.

ASik started out shooting a horrible percentage around th erim fo relike the first two months and he improved substantially as the season progressed. Dude has potential. He's just raw and ppl need to be patient.

When he first got traded the rockets gave him a lot of pt,a nd slowly he made game to game progress. He's young. I'm rooting for him. His story makes you root for him.

Asik is 7 feet tall, and as a rookie Asik shot better around the rim than Robinson.

There was another Big 12 PF that was a beast in college and had trouble finishing in the paint once he got to the league, he also turned out to be shorter than his listed 6"10 height, he's Supercool.

:beli: Was the bump necessary Malta? It hurts enough as is to see him passed around to teams like the league blunt.

The Rockets are in advanced talks on a cap-clearing trade of forward Thomas Robinson, with a deal potentially “imminent,” a person with knowledge of their plans said on Tuesday.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs have shown interest in Robinson, according to another individual with knowledge of the Rockets efforts to move Robinson’s $3.5 million salary next season. Though it would be difficult for the Spurs to make any sort of deal for Robinson directly with the Rockets and would likely have to add a third team in a larger deal.

The Rockets have also had talks with the Chicago Bulls, according to the person familiar with negotiations so far, but he said that unlike with the Spurs and Cavaliers, he did not know if the Bulls were interested in Robinson or could be part of a larger deal.

The Rockets would want to move Robinson without bringing back corresponding salary to clear enough cap room to offer a max contract in free agency next month. They would have to clear roughly the equivalent of Robinson’s contract next season to have enough cap room to offer Dwight Howard his maximum salary.
