Hard times are a reality and, instead of ignoring people who need help, welfare addresses a problem

You can't be a nation spending money on war and giving out aid by the trillions to allies but be incapable of helping the people who need it

As much as I like addressing the symptoms of racism and white supremacy and lessening the pain that we take from it Id prefer to focus on the source which is the disease that is white supremacy/racism and try finding out how we can cure ourselves from it.

Welfare is a tiny amount anyway what we really could use is reparations that could be used to improve our economic base somehow.

The government took in damn near illiterate urban white boys by the millions , gave them uniforms, favorable job training, built them whole exclusive communities and neighborhoods for their families, gave them loans, prime education and called it the GI Bill

The post-war boom is the greatest example of generational welfare. Nothing else can ever compare
