  1. He makes things look like they actually hurt. None of this 'interpretive dance about car crashes' selling, like Ziggler and the like do.
  2. His character isn't 'crazy'. It's 'crazy like a fox.' There's an underlying level of cleverness there that leads to him coming out on top by taking careful advantage.
  3. He's got an interesting look.
  4. His promos are head and shoulders above most of the roster.
  5. You've got to love a 'started from the bottom' success story.
  6. Karaoke king of the WWE roster.
  7. Into Bigfoot and the paranormal.

Cool, but that's not the point of the thread, nor does it answer my question. I've said it a million times that the crowd likes him, I'm not asking that nor am I asking why he's champion, I'm literally asking the people that like him WHY they like him, and the only answer I've gotten is that "the crowd sees something in him," which isn't an answer at all, unless youre a follower who only likes something because other people do, but if thats all you see in HIM, and not any actual talent, then it confirms that he is indeed :trash:

he's supposed to be a "lunatic fringe" but hasnt done anything during his matches, nor said anything in his promos that would constitute such a nickname aside from.....his appearance? the twitching? His promos are awkward, boring, and above all, waaaaaay too GENERIC and run of the mill for someone who's supposed to be a "lunatic."

the way he wrestles COULD fit his character but it doesn't only because of how sloppily, slowly and poorly he executes in the ring which takes away from his moveset which is already limited and :trash: to begin with.

His promos are awkward, boring, and generic to YOU. This is not a popular opinion to be clear.

they spent quite a bit of time making him "loony" well before now

what your seeing is the culmination of character development being appreciated

all the popular wrestlers(save balor) have a common theme: their characters are well defined to the audience

only reason i dont like him is cause hes basically a cheap DDP in the ring with half the intimidation

suicide dive offense has never been great to me

Once again, you're not saying anything, and dodging the point of the thread. I'm not asking what is and isn't popular opinion. I've stated my opinion as to why I believe he's trash, and I'm asking why yall believe he's not. answer the question in OP or :camby:

and FTR, its not popular opinion but its not unpopular opinion either. His mic skills have been in question with the IWC for a while now, and in TSC it most definitely IS popular opinion that dean struggles to cut a good promo. Even if it wasn't popular opinion, it's popular opinion that Drake/Eminem is the best rapper out, doesn't make it any less true. I'm not trying to hate on the guy, I judge on what I see and hear, not what other people think, and judging by what I see and hear from Dean Ambrose, he's :trash: on the mic. I don't see how anyone can listen to promos from KO, Miz, Xavier, Big E, Enzo, Cena, DB, Bray, Jericho, Seth, ADR, etc. and come to the conclusion that he has even half the mic skills those guys have, despite some of them being average on the mic themselves, and in comparison to those guys, yes, his promos are generic (for his character), awkward and boring.

Atleast you answered the question. Now how many daps is this post going to get simply because you were able to formulate an actual answer while no one else seems to be able to :lolbron:

With that said I disagree, and nothing here takes an ounce of talent outside of #4, which you should be negged for, then again, "most of the roster" is :trash: on the mic as well, and #5, but that goes back to yall misunderstanding the question, hell everything on this list outside of #4 has 0 to do with what I meant with the OP.

And nah, Dean is bad seller. I swear I remember dude getting superman punched only to back into the ropes and do that cringeworthy clothesline shyt he does. Did the same thing with the pele kick. Actually, he does that in every match whenever an opponent does one of the lead ups to his finisher now that I think about it.

It's a waste of time trying to convince someone of something they aren't going to buy. You're using general and blanket statements like "he's boring" "he's generic: right?

Aight I'll say he's exciting, unique and entertaining and call it a day.

I'll also say I think his sloppy, weird wrestling style fits with his personality of being a carefree unhinged weirdo.

He's not my absolute favorite but I like him.

I like his promos and character. Only problems I ever have with Ambrose is that he's kind of disappointing once the bell rings. I thought he was dope when he was trunked-out in FCW with the belt, wrestling Punk. Now, he's a bit formulaic and rudimentary in the ring. Does a lot of soft, goofy illogical things that make me go :francis: like the spot he does when he does the rebound lariat OUTSIDE of the ring. :smh:

I also hate repetitive tope suicidas (Seth's guilty of this too), BUT the difference, which is the only MAJOR problem with Ambrose, is that he doesn't really bring a lot to the table to make matches better. He isn't horrible, but he's just really hit or miss. Guess he's like a more aerial face version of Bray Wyatt.

It was never more evident than when he had a match with :brawk: at Mania. We were all like, "Brock and Ambrose at MANIA? No DQ? Should be LIT." :lupepopcorn:

....then, nothing. :snooze:

Don't mind him getting the gold though, but for everyone to have been hating on Roman having it while Seth was out, you would have thought that Ambrose was this amazing alternative. Had cats wanting him to eliminate Roman and Trips at the Rumble or go into Mania as the champ after Roadblock. Meh. :ld:
