my very first job was paying me 5.75 an hour working in retail 2004, at that time it should have been a least 8.00

Hell yeah id pay myself more back then. Working the back line at bk is hard work and they paid me $6 a hour. You cant live off of that.

my first job was at an airport parking lot making $10 per hour in 2005 :wow:

:ehh: no one didnt wanna hire a 18 year old kid in my city, had to get what i could. I wasnt happy with the wage but i wasnt gonna back to sell drugs thats for sure.

I definitely deserved more. I was 16 and I was basically running a subway by myself for $5.15.

The owner dude wouldn't even show up for days. I basically had to run he store, do schedules,opening and closing prep/cleanup. Deal with customer complaints, manage the inventory.

Everything. All for $5.15

Good thing I was smart and gave myself of 5 finger raise every damn night :win:

To answer the question with how much $7.25 can get a person now Adays then yes everyone needs more than minimum wage
