Wow that's a lot. She could've sat in the car with them while waiting, gone outside, etc. but sat inside the air conditioned lobby waiting alone.

This wouldn't work. The one that died was only 1 years old. That's the type of age where they need an adult 24/7. The mother's procedure was going to take 25 minutes.



Another child is not sufficient to care for one year old. And the workers there can't take responsibility for some random woman's kids.
