Just some examples. I chose Atlanta because it's the busiest airport in the world at the moment with a lot of destinations and most flights to these destinations will cross the Atlantic. Yeah, you can find "cheaper" prices. Depends on timing. Depends on where you depart from. You will spend anywhere from 1.4k to over 3k for the round trip tickets in Atlanta. It ain't cheap for most people. Everybody won't be able to get the cheap tickets...Everybody can't leave from the same destination.
